As a qualified Chartered Clinical Psychologist, I have completed doctoral-level training in a number of therapeutic approaches including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic, narrative and systemic therapy. By practicing as an integrative practitioner, I draw on a wide range of psychological theories and treatments to make sense of clients’ difficulties, and plan a tailored treatment plan that is evidence-based and effective. In short, I make sure the therapy fits you and will help you to achieve what you need.
Individual therapy sessions are 50 minute session long, and are aimed at treating the presenting problem based on your goals. The number of treatment sessions required varies from person to person, but we would initially begin with six sessions and review from there. Progress in treatment is regularly monitored and we would often discuss how you are finding it.
If you would like to meet with me for therapy, we would start by arranging a free 15 minute initial consultation session where you would have the opportunity to ask me any questions that you might have. We would also use the time to make sure we would be a good fit; therapy is a vulnerable space and it is important you feel comfortable with your therapist. Following this, we would then plan for regular weekly appointments.
